Leading into the rocky mountains is what I tried to portray in this scene. The balance of highlights and shadows is where the true emotion holds itself.

Hey, guess what…

I heard your walls are looking empty and need some pretty pictures hung on it. Get your little mittens on some of my work available as prints, framed prints, framed canvases etc Have a peep over at www.coreycrawfordimagery.com/astronomy

I did a little bit of filming on my walk up Beinn Ghlass and Ben Lawers. The snow was beautiful …. and slippery, but running down a fresh blanket of snow from the top of Ben Lawers is the most fun I had in weeks. A microphone is on the way so I can record some ambient sounds and you don’t have to contend with my terrible sweep pad skills (I tried making it relaxing though).

Walking the Scottish Highlands – Beinn Ghlas and Ben Lawers

Both of these mountains are ‘Munros’, Scottish mountains which are at least 3,000 feet (914m) high. There is 277 of them and people go ‘Munro bagging’. Ben Lawers is the highest of the range at 3,983 ft (1,214m) above sea level. It was a sunny and warm day in May and yet there was this much snow left. Whoever placed the snow did it beautifully ;). Loch Tay in the distance is one of Scotland’s longest bodies of water at a length of 23 km. If you ever get the opportunity to drive along the shores of Loch Tay, the view is absolutely stunning. Did you notice the paragliders? There was 5 of them in total. It must have been a breath-taking view from up there. Perhaps one day I will be brave enough to do this as well. The way back down was long and I was completely shattered, not gonna lie. Absolutely worth it, though.

I did a little bit of filming as well and put up prints of Ben Lawers and peak view if anybody is interested. 🙂
